And so it was for these guys. Mere hours before leaving on an 800 mile journey right into the US’s monster storm Jonas, I took them through what would later be their new Mimico house. Was it the old world charm mixed with modern touches that did it? Or the ridiculous proximity to a lakefront parkette? Maybe it was just that gorgeous detached, solid brick houses in fantastic neighbourhoods without offer dates don’t come up that often. Whatever the case, this is all why we’d spend the next four days face-timing in hotel rooms, sending faxes and memes via hotel clerks and looping family in to get the job done.
